Dear Princesses,
I was contacted by Susan Browne, Mother of Vices of the Livonia Rebellious Rubies.
She had read in an earlier Friday Broadcast from the Red Hat Society email newsletter
about chapters coming together as sister chapters.
She suggested that perhaps, Les Beaux Chapeaux Rouge would be interested in becoming a
sister chapter with the Rebellious Rubies. I am elated more than I can express. I have
attended some of their events by paying the chapter dues. They are a very active chapter.
I enjoy their company and go with them often.
Becoming a sister chapter with the Rebellious Rubies will not change anything about our
chapter and how we operate. We will continue to have our own events as usual, including
every other month for our birthday ladies. It does mean however, that we may decide to
have a joint event or invite each other to events when it seems appropriate. We may decide
to go together to another chapter’s event or to a national event. A sister chapter will give
our members, that what to attend more events, a greater opportunity to become more active,
by increasing the Red Hat events and functions available.
The Rebellious Rubies does communicate mainly via email. If you do not have email yourself,
it would be helpful and, to your benefit, to find an email contact person that would be
willing to pass email information on to you when it is sent out. Not to worry however,
I will continue to advise you of our chapter happenings, in the usual manner …snail mail or phone calls!
I hope this meets with everyone’s approval. I love you all and I”m looking forward to seeing
each and every one of you at our next gathering.
