 The Grand Hotel “Step Back In Time”

Monday, July 14th to Thursday, July 17th in 2008

Room rates include taxes:

One lady to a room:  $355.10 per night

Two ladies to a room: $233.20 per person per night

Three ladies to a room: $190.45 per person per night

Four ladies to a room: $169.07 per person per night

After two nights at the above rate, should you choose

to stay the night of Wednesday, July 16, as a special benefit,

the room rate will be one half of the above rate.

These room rates include: a full breakfast and five course dinner daily, all gratuities and

baggage handling, half off green fees on “The Jewel,” free tennis court time and use of

the Esther Williams swimming pool.

 

A $85.00 U.S. Dollars (non-refundable) registration fee includes ferry transportation to and

from the island, Private Cocktail on the Grand Hotel Porch, High Tea, Private Cruise under

Mackinaw Bridge, plus other surprises, door prizes and goodie bags. The $85.00 (non-refundable)

you bring to sell.  You may keep the profits for yourself or if you wish, donate them to your chapter. 

For those who don't want to sell anything, come and shop till you drop!!  There  will also be a bake sale, Share the Wealth, and vendors.  Toni Christene Toth will also have Diva Workshop items for those finishing touches to your hats.

FRIDAY MAY 15TH, 2009

We have fantastic tours of our city’s landmarks, museums, churches, casinos and

overview of the city guided by a Council member.  More information will follow for those who register.

 

8:00 – 11:00 Friday night Motown Music with a DJ who said he has an open mike ready

for anyone who wants to sing along.  There also will be a talent show for you to show

us your Motown Acts.  We have our own member who will teach you how to hustle and

prepare you for the “longest Red Hat Hustle line” along the Riverwalk Saturday. 

A free ice cream social will top off the evening and you can get into your red hat pajamas,

bring some pop corn and go to the movie theatre in the Ren Cen if you still are wide awake.

 

For an additional cost we are organizing a Detroit River Cruise on the  Princess  with or

without lunch.  Friday night we have an organized “Food Crawl” to a restaurant in Mexican Village 

Greektown and other “tastes of the city” in the planning stages for additional costs.

There is a food court in the RenCen or you can go to the Greek town Casino but make sure

you come back for the fun time planned at 8:00 until 11:00.

 

SATURDAY MAY 16TH, 2009

Enjoy a Continental breakfast dressed in your finest. After breakfast a Riverwalk is planned

for all of us to show Detroit and the media how we can also break into a hustle that will be

remembered as the longest Red Hat hustle line.

Shop with vendors and then all of us will sit down together for a served luncheon. 

        Now get ready for the grand finale!!

We have a two hour Hall of Fame Motown show with a live band that will be “over the top”. 

The Contours, The Reflections and directly from Las Vegas  The SOT Supremes with the

lead singer from the original Supremes Karen Ragland will sing Motown songs that we all remember.

 

We have a special Bling pin for you to wear as a give away plus chances to win Chapter

Theme Baskets and Share the Wealth.
