We will watch the Derby on the TV, sip mint juleps,
sing “My Old Kentucky Home” and engage in simple wagering on the derby horses.
Pot luck should have southern theme (if you can)

River Hawk Lodge, Proud Lake Recreation Area.
$80.00 per person includes lodging & 5 meals (Maximum 24 people - show me the money!)

We will get together later and plan our meals.
We are thinking of team meal preparation.
You will bring your own bedding, lawn chairs, snacks, beverages, cooler (we will provide you with a list of necessities later)
The lodge has 24 beds (2 per room) a kitchen, outdoor grills, campfire pits & picnic tables.
This is open to Rebellious Rubies members first. Rebellious Rubies deadline is January 1.
Any opening after Janurary 1 will be available to guests.

River Hawk Lodge - Proud Lake
The River Hawk Lodge is an overnight facility which features twelve sleeping rooms in a two wing configuration. A community room with a wood burning fireplace separates the two wings. Adjacent to the community room is a kitchen with sink, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwaves, toaster and coffee pot.
The River Hawk Lodge - Located in Proud Lake Recreation Area in Oakland County. Set in a beautiful wooded area near the Huron River, this is the perfect place for meetings, scout events, a large family outing, or family reunions. The Lodge sleeps 24 people in single beds. It is divided into two sleeping wings, a kitchen and a community room. The community room has a wood burning fireplace, couch, tables and chairs, a television/DVD player and a beautiful view of the surrounding woods. Each wing has 6 double rooms. The restroom in each wing has two showers and three toilet stalls.
The River Hawk Complex serves as a functional, comfortable modern base for a wide variety of recreational pursuits, over 20 miles of hiking trails (including a primeval stand of Beech trees), fishing, canoeing and kayaking. The River Hawk Complex is conveniently located just 6 miles from I-96.
Proud Lake Recreation Area is located on the scenic Huron River and offers diverse and plentiful recreational opportunities.
